How do I get started?
You can rent your self-storage or uncovered, canopy, or enclosed parking unit by calling our office. Be sure to have access to your email during the call so that you can electronically sign the lease. Vehicles must be in working condition.
When can I move in?
After your rent your self-storage or uncovered, canopy, or enclosed parking unit at Haslet Boat & RV Storage, you will receive a confirmation to download the Smart Keyless Entry app that will allow you to open the gates and doors via Bluetooth. Then you can move in anytime during access hours.
What are the facility's access hours?
Haslet Boat & RV Storage offers 24-hour access only with a background check. Regular hours are daily from 5 AM to 11 PM.
Am I required to store long-term?
Haslet Boat & RV Storage's lease is a flexible month-to-month one. Store with us short or long-term, whatever is best for you!
Why isn't the gate opening even though I have the app?
With the Smart Keyless Entry app, you can open the gates automatically from the comfort of your own vehicle and you don't have to remember a gate code. If it doesn't work, make sure that your Bluetooth and location service is enabled. Please know that there is no Wi-Fi at the facility.
Where is the ice scoop?
The ice machine is one of the many free amenities available to you when you rent a self-storage or uncovered, canopy, or enclosed parking unit with Haslet Boat & RV Storage. If you cannot find the ice scoop, please let us know. It likely got buried and we can replace it.
Why is there water in my enclosed unit?
Haslet Boat & RV Storage's buildings were built at an angle that doesn't allow the doors to set into pockets. Thus enclosed and self-storage units may get water in them when the wind blows the rain under the doors. Please do not put anything on the floor that cannot get wet.
How long after my account is delinquent will my belongings go to auction?
After 45 days of delinquency, we may enforce the lien and sell your stored items. Chapter 59 of the Texas Property Code gives us the right to proceed with sale of seized property at public auction, or property may be towed to a vehicle storage facility and disposed of by the vehicle storage facility under Chapter D, Subchapter 2303, Occupations code.
What documentation do I need to rent a unit?
A valid form of government-issued ID such as a driver’s license, passport, or state ID. A copy of your current vehicle registration or a photo of your license plate is also required.
Do I need Insurance?
Yes, insurance is required. Provide proof of your own insurance or enroll in our insurance coverage provided by Storage Protectors.
How do I pay my storage bill?
Pay your storage bill online using a MasterCard or Visa debit or credit card or by ACH. Setting up autopay is required when you rent a self-storage unit or uncovered, canopy, or enclosed parking unit for your boat and RV storage.
What happens if I'm late making a payment?
Your monthly rent is always due on the 1st of each month after your first month. We provide a five-day grace period before charging a late fee on the 6th, which is the greater or $20 or 20% of your monthly rate. When the late fee is applied, a wheel boot will be put on your vehicle and your unit and gate access will be revoked until your payment is received.
What items am I not allowed to store?
Perishables, food, plants, animals, stolen or illegal goods, flammable or hazardous items, combustible items, or liquids.
Outdoor parking units are for vehicles only and no other belongings may be stored outside.
What type of security features do you offer?
Haslet Boat & RV Storage is fully fenced and gated with keypad access. With Smart Keyless Entry, you can download an app that allows you to open the gate from the comfort of your vehicle. Our facility is also being recorded 24/7 using our video cameras. We have outdoor lighting and enclosed units have interior lights that are on timers.
As part of our commitment to providing top-notch security services at Haslet Boat & RV Storage, we have installed a cutting-edge security system called iDter. This system leverages advanced AI technologies and live monitoring to ensure a swift and effective response to potential threats.
When entering Haslet Boat & RV Storage, iDter will inform you that you are under monitoring. In the event of entering a restricted area or if an unauthorized individual attempts to breach the perimeter, the system will issue a warning instructing them to leave immediately. Failure to comply with trigger alarms, emergency lights around the entire facility, and an immediate call to the sheriff by our live monitoring team.
How do I get in and out of the facility?
Haslet Boat & RV Storage has an all left turn layout, so gates are one-way. Enter through the west gate and exit through the east gate.
How much notice needs to be given before I move out?
We require 10 days verbal OR 15 days written notice before vacating. On your scheduled move-out day, make sure the unit is completely empty, send us a photo of the empty unit, and call or email us to confirm that you are done renting your self-storage or uncovered, canopy, or enclosed parking unit.
